wen tan is subtle and the right colour it looks ok but I was at a feis once and this girlwas dancing she had a lovely posture and she was a lovely dancer but her legs were sooooo dark and her hands face and neck were soo white it looked Ridiculously funny hehe Xx!xX
@californialove31 haha my friend taught me a little irish dance a while ago, and i actually in ballet i always got nagged for my arms, it was always taryn your leg work is fine but your ARMS! haha guess i wont have that worry
@taryndancer29 Good luck with starting irish dancing, ive been doing it for 10 years now, and before that i did ballet, and i must say it is a bigggg change because you can’t use your arms at all!
It is hard being a iriish dancer i will say that and i am not lying its really hard with the ppractise the competitions the shows ireland extra preacting all thepeople who dont do that i would like to see them doing it every week x
im glad im naturally tanned thanks to being half italian, my other half is ukrainian and irish :P but yeah, irish people are fair skinned, the fake tanning is definetly a waste! im starting irish dance in september (hopefully) , and yeah im pumped! ive done ballet and tap for 14 years so i should be fine as for the wigs, i can see why there used less time consuming, but little kids definetly should not wear those big wigs on their tiny heads
@ExtraordinaryxEmilyx personly i dont think thats true… The dancers from overseas take up the majority of the top placements at majors like worlds, and they are the ones who start the trends. Alllll the top dressmakers and vendors are also located in the UK as well. maybe it was never like that before…but trends change. not saying thers anything wrong with it though! I LOOVEEE it

I have been a highland dancer for 12 years but I have been looking at Irish dancing videos, it looks so funn !! I’m really good at our highland jig but does anyone know if it would be hard for me to change styles since I’m so used to highland if i was wanting to have a change ?
I do tan and wear make up and go full out for the dress and wig because now judges look at everything! and i hate when people say you dont need to be strong to do irish step!!
My first feis: I never wore any makeup AT ALL! not even eyeliner lipstick or eyeshadow,I like the wigs and poodle socks and dresses(that aren’t too overexaggerated) but I think the tan is over the limits,but hey,it’s my opininon people can do whatever they want,some times little kids wear huge senior wigs and it look like wtf… but people can do whatever they want to do and wear so keep you’re opinions too yourself unless someone ask you to say them o.o

@ILoveYouuLJ I was thinking about doing this.. does it look just as good as tanning. I tan but maybe this would be easier..

`i’m from northern ireland and i don’t wear a wig or tan we wear black tights

The americans made this crap, wigs dresses tan etc. Not the irish, it was never like that.

Im gonna do irish dancing in may and im soo excited!! I have never done it befor but im irish and have a lot of red hair! Soo im soo excited any tips?
fucking irish dancing is some kind of suburban cult. kids forced into it by the worst form of soccer moms
